VENICE ORIENTAL DANCE COMPETITION is a prestigious platform for all the dancers, choreographers, national and international artists, who dream to live it a strong emotion, participating in an International Competition. On Saturday, 19th March at the Perla Theatre - Casino Palace, the dancers will present their choreography in the first round of the competition. The final round of the competition will take place on the evening of Saturday, 19th March - Perla Theatre - Casino Palace in the presence of authorities from the world of culture and entertainment, representatives of the press and media. The 12th choreographies choices will compete in three sections of the Competition of the Venice Oriental Dance Convention: Best Choreography, Best Performance and Artistic Innovation. Prestigious trophies, designed and created specifically for the contest by a Venetian world-renowned Master and produced by Murano New Gallery, will be delivered to winners from the authorities present at the Perla Theatre in the evening of the Gala Show.

To all subscribers to the VENICE ORIENTAL DANCE COMPETITION will be issued a certificate of participation at the event, considered worthy for his social qualities, cultural and artistic activities, recognized by International Dance Council CID UNESCO and patronised by Department of Cultural Production - City of Venice, Veneto Region.

Guidelines and General Information for the VENICE ORIENTAL DANCE COMPETITION.

In order to enter to the VENICE ORIENTAL DANCE COMPETITION all artists, partecipants, companies and dance schools must agree to the following conditions.

Please, read before registering for the competition.

The VENICE ORIENTAL DANCE COMPETITION is reserved to advanced and professional dancers with stage experience and having a full pass of 3 days access to the VENICE ORIENTAL DANCE CONVENTION.

Subscription for the competition must be concluded no later than 15th February 2011.

No inscription will be accepted after this date.

REQUEST

- The dancers of the competition will be responsible for the submission of 2 CDs containing a single musical trak notation that will be presented on the evening of the competition. A music CD will be delivered to the department of music, the other CD will be kept in reserve from our music departement.

- There is a time limit of 3 minutes for the performance presented in the competition. The music will be faded and stop after 3 minutes.

- Is permitted to use: veils, cymbals, sticks.

- Not allowed: candles, swords, knives, snakes.

- Unsuitable clothing will be prohibited at the event.

JURY/JUDGES

- Jury of the VENICE ORIENTAL DANCE COMPETITION will be composed of our International guest star teachers.

- Judjes will judge in 3 categories: Best CHOREGRAPHY, Best PERFORMANCE, ARTISTIC INNOVATION, with a total of 10 points.

- The vote given by the jury is sovereign and not debatable.

COPYRIGHT

- All partecipants agree and allow the VENICE ORIENTAL DANCE CONVENTION and Cultural Association Company Music & Dance Design to use their own pictures and movies.

- Photo cameras, video equipments, phones will not be allowed during all workshops, shows and competition.

- The event will be documented and DVD of the event will be sold only by VENICE ORIENTAL DANCE CONVENTION, which retains all rights.

- Best CHOREGRAPHY, Best PERFORMANCE, ARTISTIC INNOVATION

- Winners of VENICE ORIENTAL DANCE COMPETITION will be invited like guest at VENICE ORIENTAL DANCE CONVENTION 2012 for teaching and performing at the Gala Show with the best International Artists.

- Prestigious trophies, designed and created specifically for the contest by Venetian world-renowned Master and produced by Murano New Gallery, will be delivered to winners from the various authorities present at the Theatre in the evening.
